Considering Adoption??

Many times in life, things come up, and you may find yourself in an unplanned pregnancy and although you love and care for your unborn child very much, your not prepared to parent a child at this time in your life. You are probably feeling overwhelmed and frightened and not sure what to do. But your not alone! We are here to help you as you make this very important decision. If after exploring the adoption option, you realize it is not the right choice for you and your unborn baby, we are supportive of that and wish you the best. If you decide to move forward and make an adoption plan, we want to help you find a family that meets what your looking for.

What choices do I have with adoption??

Some people think that if you choose adoption, you have no say so. That is untrue! As a potential birthmother you have rights!
You have the right to:

* Choose the type of adoption you desire.
*
Choose the adoptive parents to raise your child.
*
Choose the level of openness you are comfortable with.
*
Receive pictures and updates of your child until the age of 18 if you so desire.
*
Actively participate in creating your adoption plan.
*
Name your child.
* Spend time with your child in the hospital - including caring for him or her during the hospital stay if you wish to.

* Request pre and post adoption counseling if you desire.

* Right to receive assistance with your hospital bills and living expenses.
