Two Kinds of Love Adoption is run by Shannon, an adoptive Mom, and Coley, a birthmom. Shannon primarily deals with the adoptive parents while Coley answers our birth parents line. Together, they are helping adoption to mean something more.

Birthparents who call 2 Kinds of Love receive personal one on one attention from Coley. Having made an adoption plan herself, Coley knows exactly what its like to be pregnant and considering adoption. Coley listens to the potential birthmothers then presents families meeting what they are looking for. Coley then refers to them to BirthMom Buds (a support site for bmoms and pbmoms that she is the co-founder of) where they can recieve mentoring from another birthmom. You can view our home study ready families here on the web or call Coley any time toll free at 1-877-877-3459. Coley also lends her experiences as a birthmother to the adoptive families in the group.

Adoptive parents who are members of 2 Kinds of Love are led by Shannon. An adoptive mom herself and hoping to adopt once more, Shannon motivates and inspires the members of 2 Kinds. Shannon is responsible for all advertising and fundraising as well. Shannon brings her experience to the table helping guide our parents who are trying to adopt for the first time. All of the adoptive families here support each other on their adoption journey. It's Shannon's wish to see all of our families, bring their children home. If your interested in joining 2 Kinds, please visit our adoptive parent information page or email Shannon.

 Meet the Founders

In the picture below, Shannon, the adoptive parent coordinator, is shown on the left while Coley, the birth parent coordinator is pictured on the right. Coley and Shannon took this picture during some free time on a recent business meeting in Florida.

Shannon, the adoptive parent coordinator

Shannon is the wife to Heath and the Mom to Megan who was adopted at birth. They enjoy an open adoption with Megan's entire birth family. Since Megan's birth four years ago, Shannon became active in the adoption community, educating herself about adoption. She has now chosen to use her own experience plus her knowledge to help other adoptive parents along thier adoption journey. Shannon also educates others and speaks out about adoption in her community. When Shannon is not busy with 2 Kinds of Love duties, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking reading, doing crafts.

Coley is the wife to Jason and is the full time Mom to an 8 year old son, Noah, who has cerebral palsy. She is the birthmom to Charlie, whom she placed in an open adoption following his birth in 2001. Since Charlie's birth, Coley has become active in the adoption community and has become an advocate for birthmothers. Coley is also the co-founder of BirthMom Buds and designs web sites for couples who are hoping to adopt. In her free time, she enjoys educating others about cerebral palsy, computers, stamping, and spending time with her family.
